Flights
Flights to Cyprus depart from many UK airports, with a flight time of between 4½ and 5 hours.
If you fly to Paphos International Airport, the apartment is about 15 - 20 minutes away by car, and this would cost about £25 by taxi. Alternatively, you could fly to Larnaca International Airport, which is about 1½ hours from the apartment by car.

At first sight flights might seem expensive, but if you look around and book well in advance it is possible to get some bargains.

Taxis

I have found several reliable taxi companies and these have now found their way to the apartment - earlier this year, because it was new, the taxi drivers did not know where it was.

You have to be prepared for the ‘Cypriot taxi driver’ way of driving - fast and no hands!
The right hand is busy being dangled out of the window while the left hand holds the mobile phone.

It is worth booking your taxi before you leave the UK and, if you give your flight details, you will be met at the airport.

I have found the following companies to be relable:

Pambos/Kyriacos Taxi: email dorita-g@hotmail.com
Avanti Taxi: 00357 26964647 or 00357 26964757

Car hire

There are many car hire companies in and around Paphos, most of them are reliable and prices are fairly competitive. I have tended to rely on one company on my last few visits and I have booked the car before leaving the UK:

Pentaras Rentals: 00357 26941965
www.pentarasrentals.com

If you hire from them for 7 days or more, they will meet you at Paphos Airport with the car, and you can leave the car at the airport at the end of your stay - a saving of about £50 on taxi fares.
